Our mission

To represent and advance the interests of independent cinemas in an increasingly competitive and complex industry, through business development, support and strong representation with key industry bodies, including:

• Film Exhibition and Distribution Code of Conduct Administrative Committee. (FEDCAC)
• Motion Picture Distributors Association of Australia (MPDAA)
• Australian Independent Distributors Association (AIDA)
• Australian Screen Association and Creative Content Australia* supporting the fight against film piracy
• Screen Australia - Australia’s peak government film agency)
• Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC)
• Human Rights and Equal Opportunities Commissions (HEREOC)

 

Membership Types

1.    Full Membership

Available to operators of 2 or more cinemas in Australia. Provides access to all member benefits, services, ICA conference discount and voting rights.

2.    Community/Not for Profit Membership

Owner or operator of not for profit cinemas in Australia or organisation offering movie screenings.

3.    Associate Member

For individuals or organisations wishing to support ICA members. Included access to ICA newsletters and conference discounts. Download Associate Membership application form here
